For food contact items we have a class 10,000 clean-room facility.
The company operates the following PLC controlled injection moulding machines which are all from the Sandretto company:
- 3 x 60T
- 2 x 95T
- 2 x 100T
- 5 x 135T
- 1 x 200T (Arburg).
The company processes a wide range of thermoplastic materials which includes:
- ABS
- Acrylic
- Nylon (including glass filled)
- Polycarbonate
- Polyethylene (HD, MD & LD)
- Polypropylene
- Styrene (high impact and crystal).
We also conduct post mould finishing activities such as ultra-sonic welding, chrome plating, foil blocking, brass insert placement and 'value added' assembly work.
We have in-house computer aided design facilities and a tool room for prototyping and repairs. We work closely with a number of specialist mould makers and take responsibility for delivery of your project's mould.

Lettergold Plastics Limited are thrilled at the launch of their unique magnetic filter system, designed to protect modern efficient central heating boilers in the domestic housing market.
New filter makes boilers more efficient
Andy Drummond, Director of Lettergold commented "the requirement for a new magnetic filter in the market was lead by our customers, although magnetic filters already exist, a system offering an improved price / performance solution was called for". The new filter offers an ingenious design for which patents are pending, it meets and exceeds the customers demands and will be available from many leading stores and plumbers merchants. The DWTA trade association are working with Lettergold, to lobby Government that all new build housing or newly installed boilers are fitted with a magnetic filter ensuring modern boilers continually operate at there most efficient.
Manufacturing remained in the UK
The commitment to manufacture this project, was total from this family run company, it was important to Andy Drummond that the manufacturing remained in the UK and was not sourced from the Far East. Initial design to manufacture took over 12 months and required significant investment, including a suite of new tooling, this was sourced from a UK tool maker to guarantee quality and service, the team worked with a major material manufacturer to ensure the polymers used meet the demanding standards required by the product.
ARBURG machine meets all requirements
This project also saw a milestone for Lettergold, with their first new machine, an ALLROUNDER 570 C GOLDEN EDITON with a clamping force of 2.000 kN and an injection unit 800. The ARBURG machine was selected as it offered the ideal price / performance ratio required and the finance package offered by ARBURG gave Lettergold the breathing space to get product to market.
